Founded in 2009 by Brian and Leticia Thiessen, Cabinet Effects is a custom cabinetry provider in Southern Ontario. This couple is passionate about what they do and have a strong client base.

However, their website didn’t represent their product and service differentiators. Additionally, their website copy wasn’t SEO optimized and research showed that their competition has exploded in their Southern Ontario footprint; their website needed to be more competitive.

Our challenge: the budget was limited. We incorporated their current careers page to keep costs down. And I adhered to the hours I was allotted for the project, and held my Designer accountable for her hours.

I worked with the agency’s SEO specialists to get a better understanding of their keyword research. And as the Copywriter on this project, I incorporated these into the site copy. Copy included image alt tags, meta title and description, and heading hierarchy.

Next, I collaborated with the Designer to create the sitemap and wireframes.

Result:

While the website hasn’t gone live yet, the clients were thrilled and had minimal changes to the copydeck or creative concept. I will update these results when the are available. However, regardless, their website will be more SEO optimized and appear in more searches.

When clients are this lovely, it doesn’t feel like work.
